This project is mainly to assist the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) to improve the operational environments of cleaning squads and to assist in hosting the “2019 National Model Cleaning Squad Members Commendation Ceremony”. Implementation results of six major work items are as below:
Collect and organize the information of the office location, land ownership certificate and attached environmental protection facilities of the 367 cleaning squads. Among them, 21 cleaning squads are under the viaducts, 57 cleaning squads are next to landfills, 25 cleaning squads are next to recyclables depots, 4 cleaning squads are next to refuse incineration plants, and 19 cleaning squads are next to environmental protection facilities such as kitchen waste collection field or refuse transfer stations.
Execution of field inspections and give guidance to recycling field improvement constructions in Luodong Town inYilan County, Daan District in Taipei City, Madou District in Tainan City, Xinwu District in Taoyuan City, and Tongluo Town in Miaoli County.
Collect and summarize regulations related to environmental protection facilities in landfills, refuse transfer stations, recycling storage field and kitchen waste collection field (include temporary storage zone and composting yard). Provide self-check list related to environmental protection facilities for cleaning squads to examine their facilities.
In addition to installation or improvement of environmental protection facilities, we also add the item of enhancement of existing operational environments to “Project of Diversified Waste Treatment” for EPA.
Assist in hosting the “2019 National Model Cleaning Squad Members Commendation Ceremony”. We visit 26 cleaning squads, interview 27 members and record it as a manuscript.
Hold an observation tour, visit the cleaning squad in Southern District in Tainan and visit the Cleanaway Landfill.
