The annual number of tourists exceeds 1 million. It is promoted and promoted by policies such as garbage reduction, food waste recycling, and resource recycling and classification. The volume of garbage removal is maintained at around 15,000 to 17,000 metric tons per year.
In recent years, the tourism industry has been actively developed. At the same time as the economic development, it has also brought a huge amount of waste, which has seriously affected the quality of the environment. Since most domestic garbage in Penghu County needs to be transported by ship to Taiwan's main island for incineration, garbage classification and resource recovery are even more important.
Therefore, in recent years, we have continued to move towards resource utilization and diversified waste disposal, and implemented mandatory waste classification, divided into garbage, food waste, resource recovery and other projects, and pushed the past waste disposal methods to the recycling cycle of sustainable management resources.
