Since October 30, 2020, the task team has carried out the work items of the “Subsidy Plan for Promotion on One-time Product Reduction of Pingtung County’s Environmental Protection Night Market and Shopping District in 2020”. As of Decemer 30, 2020, all the work items has been in compliance with the regulations.
1.Promoting the reduction of disposable tableware in night markets and shopping districts
On November 26, 109, the company holds a briefing meeting at Sugarbistro, has invited 9 stores in the Shengli Star Village to apply for subsidies to purchase reusable tablewar. The amount of subsidy for a single store is no more than NT$5,000. Subsidy items include (bowls, chopsticks, plates, saucers, cups, spoons, knives, forks, straws, environmental cleaners) tableware materials do not contain melamine, at least 8 stores are subsidized (check-off verification). Nine stores in Shengli Star Village were invited to hold a briefing session and subsidized NT$368,016. Afterwards, we went to the environmental protection shopping district store to understand the use status, and the use was generally well.
2.Promote the reduction of plastic bags in the night market shopping districts
We designed 2,500 reusable eco-friendly bags and provided them to the stores to promote the use of the bags, and delivered them to 30 stores in Shengli Star Village on December 29, 2020, hoping to reduce the use of plastic bags by using eco-friendly bags. We also ask the stores to promote the take-out without using disposable plastic bags.
3. Handling at least one publicity meeting for environmental protection night markets and business districts
Invite the Public Health Bureau, Pingtung County Government to hold a seminar on environmental protection night markets and shopping districts and tableware cleaning on November 26, 2020 at Sugarbistro in Shengli Star Village, to guide the businesses on tableware cleaning in accordance with the Food and Drug Administration's " Good Practice Guidelines for Tableware Cleaning " and to promote environmental protection shopping districts that do not use disposable products and use reusable tableware, and encourage people to bring their own tableware. Through media promotion, the demonstration area of the environmental protection shopping district will improve the quality of the tourist environment and lead other shopping districts and night markets to follow suit. To achieve the goal of promoting the environment and the concept of sustainability.
