Moving pollution sources spatial distribution Visualization user interface has been built. Pollution sources emission data and relative statistical estimation parameters have been introduced to emergency response system in Environmental Protection Bureau of Taichung City Government Moving pollution sources controlling platform system. We have established moving pollution sources emission and dispersion model. By interfacing VD database from Ministry of Transmission and the Communication R.O.C, we can estimate air pollution emissions. The visualization system represented emissions intensity with color contour. Heavily polluting vehicles reporting hotspots have been integrated into the visualization system.Using personalized searching relative moving pollution source emission data, we can control moving pollution sources with more efficiency.
For planning and installing air quality maintenance zones and implement control measures for mobile pollution sources, vehicle flow detection data and vehicle's registration information search function have integrated in the system. We have rented CCTV and automatic license plate recognition system for detecting traffic flow in Taichung Port, Taiwan Boulevard and Taichung Industrial Park. We got 14days traffic flow images, including Q3 and Q4, to survey on the impact and estimate the pollution reduction.
Furthermore, the system linked EPA vehicle registration database to obtain the basic vehicles information. Users can check automatic license plate recognition system data by linking to EPA vehicle registration database. The project team review traffic control literature to make and reported long-term and short-term mobile pollution control strategy. We have been logged in Air Pollution Control Project Management System in time, held 1 training for project team members, and 2 council meetings about controlling mobile pollution sources, including one advisory council and Taichung Port air quality maintenance zones advisory council.
