The purpose of this plan is promoting Green chemistry, encouraging innovative research and development of low-pollution and low-toxicity alternatives for green chemistry, reduce the application of toxic chemicals, implement hazard prevention management, strengthen emergency disaster response capabilities, and promote green chemistry education, and select outstanding enterprises and individuals, so as to encourage industry, University and research institute to learn and follow. Boost the Sustainable development of green chemistry. The work items in the plan include developing the participation rules, holding the activity publicity and orientation, handling the written preliminary review, reexamination, Final review, award ceremony and the Results Presentation Conference, etc.
"The 2nd Green Chemistry Application and Innovation Award" started on April 20,2020. It was promoted through official documents and email invitations and multiple channels. It was also held 6 orientation in 4 main areas in Taiwan from June 29 to July 13, and also targeted groups and individuals interested and willing to participate in the activity, went to the company location to explain the participation rules and provide relevant information, and through the written preliminary review, on-site visits and multiple review meetings to select 14 winners from the group and 10 winners from the individual on March 15, 2021.
In response to the impact of COVID-19,in addition to the suspension of the promote activity , the award ceremony and the results presentation conference were changed the form to online. At the same time, in order to integrate green chemical energy, the Environmental Protection Administration, and the Ministry of Education have combined the "2nd Green Chemistry Application and Innovation Awards", "The 2nd Green Chemistry Innovation Competition for Colleges and Universities ", and " 2020 Annual Green Chemistry Innovation Competition for Senior High Schools " was jointly holded on October 8,2021, and the Results Presentation Conference was jointly organized on October 15,2021, to facilitate the sharing of experience. Online mode break the time and space constraints through video and live broadcast, and upload the video to the EPA’s youtube channel for permanent preservation. All the work of this project will be finished before December 31,2021.
