In order to strengthen the control over short-term air quality issues, it was expected to integrate air quality contingency tasks with the information system. It could improve work efficiency and increase capability on responding to contingency through expanding and reinforcing the Air Quality Contingency Response and Management System. Moreover, the Air Quality Protection Web of the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) was a platform disclosing refined air quality control efforts and contingency information from the central and local governments. The efforts and results on contingency response by the central and local governments were presented.
This project integrated air quality information and expanded the Air Quality Contingency Response and Management System to assist the activation and management task upon poor air quality. In addition, the contingency response information from the central and local governments was acquired. Furthermore, this project established a mechanism on announcement and report of air pollution behavior to improve administration efficiency; developing the automated basic air quality analysis tool to help analyze poor air quality. Two training sessions and system user interaction meetings were also completed. This project facilitated contingency tasks and took control over the basic air quality analysis information to increase the synergy of management especially during poor air quality.
In order to enhance the automation and normalization of the process on managing academic research project, the Air Pollution Research Project Management System was established to enable submission and management of air pollution research project. It enhanced work efficiency of the research management as expected.
In terms of strengthening and maintaining the Air Quality Protection Web, a search service was established on the website. Several theme pages that collaborated air quality information were set up and user-friendly experience was improved, such as the overview of daily air quality contingency response, theme board, and so on. In addition, the English website was established to provide information on air quality control in a different language. This project was also responsible on operating the website as well as corresponding to the checkpoints for web service. To assure performance and safety of the system, pressure test and security check were also conducted. The results indicated no relevant vulnerability on information security, and the website enabled multi-user operation simultaneously.
