Environmental Protection Bureau, Chiayi City (abbreviated as EPB in the following descriptions) initiated a project to facilitate the establishment of 13 recycling stations this year (2020) to reduce the quantities of garbage and improve the recycling effectiveness. The project was based on boroughs and targeted to promote the “Recycling Convenient Stops in Chiayi” to change the recycling concepts and habits of the citizens. People were encouraged to well collect the recycling materials generated by cleaning their houses or environment of the neighborhood then they can send the materials to the recycling convenient stops in boroughs to gain the rewards for some daily supplements with environmental protection certificates. The recycling quantities were increased and the garbage was reduced at the end. Also, the recycling materials could be sold to earn funds for the social welfare improvement, environmental maintenance and recycling station operations etc. in the boroughs. This is a win-win project to bring the citizens the better environments.
On the 10th of March, the "109-year Chiayi City Resource Recycling Station Operation and Large-scale Publicity Project" submitted 13 resource recovery convenience station operation planning documents, and completed the first training session on February 21, followed by On March 28, the 13-station image reconstruction operation was completed. Since March 28, the stations have successively handled the exchange activities. Up to now, the total amount of resource recycling has recovered 78,715.3 kilograms, the sales amount has reached 118,950 yuan, and the number of exchanges has reached 5,331 Among them, the recycling amount of waste paper reached a maximum of 32,884.7 kg, accounting for 41.78% of the total, followed by 14,204 kg of metal container, accounting for 18.04% of the total. The total amount of recycling were the highest in Zhongzhuang. The amount is 13,856.8 kg, the sale amount is 13,205 yuan, and the number of exchanges is 1066.
In the "Review of the 109-year Chiayi City Resource Recycling Station Operation and Large-scale Publicity Program", the tour resource recycling and promotion activities have been carried out in 26 rounds. The number of participants in the event was 1529.
Resource Recycling and DIY Implementation Activities, through the DIY experience, students are expected to convey the importance of resource recycling and reuse through DIY experience activities to strengthen education and promote students' resource recovery and classification work, understand resource rarity, and cherish us more. The resources on the earth, combined with the parents of the students, are implemented in daily life, improve the rate of resource recovery, and convey the concept of sustainable use of resources.
The campaign has been held on September 12, this year's theme is divided into two parts: "Clean" and "Resource Recycling". The campaign is held in the cultural park, the campaign content includes stage table, promotion area, game area, etc. The recycling amount：2,630 clean reusable bags, 191 kilograms of waste batteries, 129 keyboards, 27 laptop computers, 13 computer screens, 34 disk drives, and 32 electric fans.
