This year's publicity campaign on weed management on non-agricultural land consisted of four information sessions, nine publicity events and two advertisements to promote public understanding of weed management on non-agricultural land and the hazards of herbicides to humans and the environment, as well as to inform participants of the various environmentally friendly ways to avoid the use of herbicides.
Professor Ching-Hsiang Hsieh from Pingtung University of Science and Technology was invited to give a presentation on "Weed Management on Non-Agricultural Land, Toxicity and Health Risks of Herbicides", while Mr. Chih-Jung Hung and Mr. Chi-Chiu Hung were invited to give a hands-on demonstration on the electric lawn mower. The four advocacy briefings were mainly aimed at the cleaning teams and people of the Kinmen County Government Construction Office, Jinning Township, Jincheng Town, Jinsha Town and Jinhu Township Public Office, with a total of 186 participants. The 9 advocacy activities were aimed at the people of Jinhu Town, Jinning Town, Jincheng Town and Jinhu Town, with a total of 449 participants, Through the definition of weed management in non-agricultural land, the toxicity and health risks of herbicides, weed reuse - practical and agricultural use and the way of soliciting and answering, in addition to enabling the public to fully understand the common local weed species and the impact on life, it is also possible to make them pay attention to the places that some weeds should pay attention to when weeding, and then choose mechanical and manual weeding and other environmentally friendly and safe weeding methods to achieve effective control of most of the weeds close to people's lives. The two advocacy advertisements were published in Kinmen Daily and Mingcheng Cable TV "CH33 Mingcheng Integrated Station" respectively, advocating themes aimed at non-agricultural environmental weed management methods, so as to effectively enhance the public's knowledge of non-agricultural environmental weed management.
