While the economic environment is developing rapidly, the air pollution problem in Southeast Asia is becoming more and more serious, and the related air pollution issues are getting more and more attention from the local government and the public. In 2018, the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs reached a consensus on bilateral environmental protection technology cooperation with countries in the Asia-Pacific region during the Taiwan Expo Exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region, and jointly reached an air quality sensing Internet of Things cooperation plan. As Southeast Asia expresses its appreciation and surprise for Taiwan's IoT technology to promote environmental governance results, it is hoped that through the cooperation and exchanges between the two parties, Taiwan's technical experience in building the air pollution sensing IoT will be transferred to assist Southeast Asian countries with economic take-offs to resolve the development of industrial development. In line with the industry and innovation goals of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Environmental Protection Agency has integrated the domestic environmental IoT new industries and exported them to the world. In addition to assisting neighboring countries in solving environmental problems, the Environmental Protection Administration also simultaneously develops our country's environmental sensing innovation service industry and drives the development of the environmental IoT application service industry as purpose.
Since 2016, the project team has assisted the Environmental Protection Administration to use micro-sensors to build a smart environmental management system, using electromechanical and communication integration technology, and through the use of Taiwan as a verification field, indeed to see our team’s sensing technology is assisting smart inspections. The effectiveness of the domestic environmental sensing Internet of Things on environmental governance, also deep believe that with the cooperation of this plan and the Environmental Protection Administration, the goals of the Internet of Everything, environmental optimization, innovative research and development, and industry-driven industry can be gradually implemented.
This plan initially selects the deployment site in the Red River Delta area near Hanoi City in Vietnam (mainly defined by the Environmental Protection Administration) for deployment as an international cooperation field for the Environmental Quality Sensing Internet of Things of the Environmental Protection Administration. In cooperation with the International Trade Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2018 during the Vietnam Taiwan Expo Exhibition, and the Vietnamese government reached a consensus on strengthening bilateral environmental protection technology cooperation, and jointly reached an air quality sensing Internet of Things project cooperation. The main goal is to deploy 100 air quality micro-sensors in Hanoi, transfer my country’s technical experience in building air quality sensing Internet of Things, and at the same time cooperate with the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ industry and innovation goals to create a new industry in the domestic environmental Internet of Things integrated export to Southeast Asia.
