This “2021 Quality Inspections and Management of Public Health Pesticide project” is a continuous mission. During previous 2018-2019 Classification and Application of Formulation Types of Public Health Pesticide (TCSB-107-EM04- 02-027) project, we proposed 47 formulation types of public health pesticide with the international codes and definitions. Then, we re-evaluate the registered products with their appearance, formula, and usage to propose a new classification. Also, a proposal of specification items standards and methods for nominated 11 formulation types is implemented for the survey. This tried to make Taiwan's public health pesticide regulations gear to international standards. We analyze the 2018-2019 Classification and Application of Formulation Types of Public Health Pesticide, the public health pesticide regulations of FAO/WHO Joint Meeting on Pesticide Specification (JMPS), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), CropLife, Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA), Taiwan Agro-pesticides Management Act, and China GB/T 19378-2017 to summarize a complete formulation type document of public health pesticide. The 47 formulation types of public health pesticide are harmonizing with the international codes and definitions to propose. Untested formulation types of TCSB-107-EM04- 02-027 were selected to define the inspection items and specifications. Furthermore, we fix 15 public health pesticide products to the new formulation type and list the proper inspection items for them. We conducted trials for products of formulation mosquito coil and liquid vaporizer to make sure all the test methods and the standards of inspection requirement are available. All 3 mosquito coil products did not pass the burning-time test and without any label. Furthermore, 2 mosquito coil product did not pass the accelerated storage test. For liquid vaporizers, the 3 products met all standards and passed the inspection. For vaporizing mats, all 3 products passed evaporation rate, and 1 of the 3 product did not pass the accelerated storage test. For aerosol dispensers passed all the tests except the net capacity test. This may be caused by that the label does not meet the real content in it. For oil dispersions, all the 3 products did not pass the dispersion stability test. Finally, we collected domestic and foreign regulations about additives of public health pesticide. Then, a list for banned and restricted additives of public health pesticides was draft. In addition, a list to show the limitation reasons was also provided.
