This project assists the Environmental Protection Agency in compiling relevant topics suitable for popular science education based on the Junior and Senior high school level. Popular science teaching materials seminars for teachers in Junior and Senior high schools will be organized to strengthen students’ understanding on the issues of "air quality" and "air pollution". The topics are linked to the EPA's air monitoring information, including "seasonal and diurnal variation of aerosol monitoring, and the impacts of weather and space"; "the use conditions and restrictions, and application of the air quality micro-sensor"; "The theoretical difference of particle size and concentration and its environmental characterization of particulate matter (PM)". This project has completed three popular science teaching materials and teacher’s teaching manual, based on the commends and suggestions from experts and reviewers of the all-day expert consultation meeting. Till December 13, 2021, we have completed expert consultation meeting and 10 popular science teaching materials seminars. Through this project, we will further provide the suggestion and assist in the analysis and exchange of the discussion results of the meeting. Therefore, the authority could make the policy and regulation on air quality monitoring much easier and more smoothly.
