In September 2020, Taiwan Environmental Protection Agency formulated the "Guidelines for Air Quality Sensing IoT Deployment and Data Application Guidelines" based on Taiwan's experience in promoting the Internet of Things for Air Quality Sensing. The overall quality assurance is divided into 6 phases including quality control of device factory performance, deployment operation, operation management, post-deployment inspection, sensing data release, and application analysis. Among them, the factory performance quality control is based on sensors' performance evaluation, called Type Verification. For this reason, the goal of this project is to strengthen the sensor type verification system and the function of the performance evaluation platform.
In order to grasp the sensing quality of the deployed online sensors, during the implementation of this plan, we will continue to test and confirm the performance of the environmental IoT sensors. In the recall test, by tracking the performance between the same brand equipment, we may evaluate the replacement cycle of the sensor with decay. In this method, high-concentration particles were generated by the wind tunnel system, to evaluate the sensor's sensitivity, high-concentration response, and wind speed effect.
