The main tasks of this project include "Public Toilet Management and Publicity", "Salute to the Sea - Coastal Cleaning and Maintenance Management", "Environmental Hygiene Drug Management and Publicity", "Dengue Fever Vector Mosquito Breeding Source Inspection and Cleaning", and "Environmentally Friendly Shop Inspection".
(A) public toilet management and publicity work
1.In order to promote a proper and quality toilet culture, this year, the Yilan Local Combat Reality Band performed an action drama with humorous skits and interacted with the public to let them understand the three major promotion themes, such as "flushing toilet paper", "flushing hands after going to the toilet", and "keeping clean without rushing".
2. The satisfaction survey of public toilets was conducted in conjunction with the stalls set up in the activities of the county and the promotion of the scenic area on weekends. 10 surveys on the satisfaction of public toilets were conducted and 402 questionnaires were collected, and the overall satisfaction of the public with public toilets in Yilan County reached 92.8%.
3. This year, the project assisted in the comprehensive update of the Ecolife baseline data of public toilets in Yilan County, completing a total of 3,196 information updates, 318 management cards, and 890 classification sticker corrections to facilitate the future management of public toilets in Yilan County. In addition, a mechanism has been established for the frequency of inspection of suitable public toilets, and inspections are conducted regularly, with 2,943 public toilets inspected (exceeding the contractual target of 1,000).
4.110 A total of 92 public toilets in 31 locations were selected as finalists in the Yilan County Public Toilet Assessment, and a total of 9 public toilets were selected for awards. In addition, this year, the "Public Toilet Internet Popularity Award Voting Campaign" was held, and 12 creative and unique public toilets were filmed to encourage the efforts and dedication of public toilet management units with good performance, and to let the public understand the quality toilet culture in Yilan County.
5. In order to engage enterprises, communities, and civic organizations to participate in the adoption of public toilets and maintain the environment of public toilets in Yilan County through public-private partnership, a total of 131 public toilets have been adopted this year.
6. Through the appropriate inspection mechanism, the program has strengthened the environmental maintenance of public toilets, and 71 new public toilets have been given a special grade this year.
(B) Tribute to the sea - coastal cleanliness maintenance management
1.In order to improve the efficiency of inspection and management, the project has introduced a fast screening mechanism for coastal environmental inspection by referring to the "Guidelines for Fast Screening of Coastal Waste" of the Wilderness Protection Society. 250 coastal inspections have been completed this year, and 49 coastal dirty spots have been reported, all of which have been cleaned up and improved.
2.This year, four beaches, including Chuan, Yongzhen, Donggang, and Dingliao, were surveyed, and one survey was conducted every quarter (16 surveys in total), in which household garbage and recreational waste remained the largest amount (66%), followed by fishing and recreational fishing (23%), and the source of waste was mainly from Taiwan. In the future, the promotion of tourists and anglers should be strengthened in order to reduce coastal waste.
(C) environmental health drug management and publicity work
1. This year, we checked the poor quality, banned and counterfeit environmental drugs, and inspected the disease vector control drugs in business establishments, and there were 78 products in 20 times, and all cases were in compliance with the regulations.
2. Vector control industry and environmental medicine vending industry inspection has been completed for all 13 mosquito control industry and 3 environmental medicine vendors in Yilan County, and on-site storage and use are in compliance with the regulations.
3.This year, we used the themes of "no herbicides on non-agricultural land" and "purchase of legal environmental drugs" in combination with community and stall activities to promote the purchase of legal drugs and not to use herbicides on non-agricultural land to community members and farmers.
(D) dengue fever vector mosquito breeding source inspection and cleanup
To prevent the spread of vector mosquitoes during the summer dengue fever season, inspections of vector mosquito breeding sources were stepped up from May to September. 350 inspections of breeding sources were completed, 1,248 water containers were removed, and 74 tsetse were found. If large water containers or cisterns were found that could not be removed, the microbial agent "Sulforaphane" was applied and the key points of dengue fever breeding source removal and the "inspect, pour, clean and brush" tips were promoted to the neighboring households to reduce the chance of dengue fever transmission.
(E) environment-friendly store inspection work
A total of 4,056 inspections have been completed. 92.91% of the stores have been inspected and only 7.09% of the stores have cigarette butts and small scraps of paper on the sidewalks or tree bases. Only 7.09% of the stores had occasional cigarette butts and small pieces of paper on the roadway or tree base. After reminders and counseling from this program, all of them have been improved immediately to enhance the overall cleanliness of Yilan County. In addition, the program also provided guidance to 16 convenience stores to adopt space in front of their stores and help them join the environmental friendly stores to maintain the beautiful environment of Yilan.
