Daxicuo community is a major agricultural area in Chiayi City, and the quality of irrigation water is not good. Therefore, through a forward-looking plan, the water quality was improved with gravel treatment and constructed wetlands, and a water environment education facility has been established. This plan integrates environmental education and local creation to promote the establishment of environmental education facilities, and to integrate with local communities for the promotion of local creation. In terms of local creation, the authors visit the elderly in the area to conduct community history, culture, humanities and hydrological surveys. Secondly. the authors establish local consensus camps to integrate local public opinion. After consensus, organic agriculture enhancement courses were held. In the environmental education aspect, first the water quality improvement process/facilities and ecological characteristics were surveyed to establish environmental education explanation content. Notice boards were designed to assist in environmental education explanation. At the same time, a four-hour environmental education lesson plan for adults was set up and conduct two trial teachings to cultivate local interpreters , In addition, the community recommended three people with university degree to participate a 120-hour training course for environmental education personnel at Nanhua University, and pass the exam to obtain an environmental education personnel certificate. These three people will become the driving force for promoting the local environment. In addition, the first environment volunteer team in Chiayi City was established. The Education Volunteer Team cultivates 20 local environmental education volunteers in order to cultivate a wide range of environmental education interpreters. Finally, this project establishes the foundation for promoting environmental education and local creation in the future.
