This environmental policy intentions survey was conducted to understand the perception of citizens who are over 20 years old toward environmental quality domestically. It adopted stratified proportional sampling method basing on the residential telephone and mobile phones interview. There are two surveys, and the first survey was conducted from June 24 to June 29, 2021 with 1,077 valid samples. The second survey was conducted from October 18 to October 24, 2021 with 1,090 valid samples. Under 95% confidence level, maximum sampling errors of both surveys are less than 2.99 percentage points.
The followings are the results of the first survey:
1.72.0% of the people expressed support for "government regulation of hotels and restaurants to reduce single-use products", and 26.7% do not support it.
2.81.4% of the people expressed support for "no eco-friendly cups are priced and added money, and there are cups with a discount for pricing", and 17.9% do not support it.
3.Regarding self-prepared and non-self-prepared eco-friendly cups, 61.3% of the people said they would be willing to bring their own eco-friendly cups with a price difference of at least 5 yuan (inclusive), and 6.4% said they would bring their own eco-friendly cups with a price difference of 6 yuan. Another 24.1% of the people said that they would not bring their own environmental cups.
4.84.2% of the people expressed their willingness to "prioritize the purchase of products with carbon footprint labels and support manufacturers to disclose the carbon dioxide emissions of the products from production to consumption", and 11.7% are reluctance.
5.59.7% of the people are satisfied with the "air quality" near home, and 39.9% are dissatisfied.
6.When the air quality deteriorates severely, the public believes that "controlling factories to reduce pollution emissions" has the highest rate of 69.4%, "checking open burning and construction sites" 35.8%, and "vehicle control and increase". 34.7% of "Public Transportation Services" ranked second.
7.63.8% of the people think that the air pollution improvement work promoted by the government is to replace old locomotives with new ones to improve the most, followed by 34.2% of factory pollution emissions and 30.1% of diesel vehicle oil fume improvement.
8.50.3% of the people believe that the government's promotion of air pollution improvement is the least improved project is factory pollution emissions, followed by 26.9% of catering industry fumes emissions, 26.7% of urban bus electrification, and 25.9% of paper money, straw and open-air burning of agricultural waste.
9.85.3% of the people approve of setting up green fences or green walls in elementary and junior high schools to promote the health of students and beautify the environment, while 13.8% disagree.
10.87.4% of the people agree to sending paper money to places with pollution prevention facilities to burn or to use other methods that do not burn paper money or incense, and 12.3% say they disagree. The main reason for disagreement is that traditions faith cannot be taken into consideration. The rate is 63.5%.
11.60.8% of the people know that "refueling guns automatically trip and not force refueling" when vehicles arrive at a gas station, which is higher than 39.2% who said they don't know.
12.80.1% of the people know that the Environmental Protection Agency has promoted subsidies for the replacement of old motorcycles in 2021, including electric two-wheeled vehicles or seven-stage fuel-fueled locomotives, which is higher than 19.9% who said they did not know.
13.The sources of information that received the EPA of the 2021 subsidy for the replacement of old motorcycles were television and the Internet, with 27.7% and 26.9% respectively, followed by 20.0% from stores and 17.0% from relatives and friends. The lowest rate of 8.2% is newspapers and magazines.
14.Compared with speed camera, 89.5% of the people agreed with the use of "sound photography" scientific instruments to outlaw noisy vehicles, and 8.9% said they disapproved.
The followings are the results of the second survey:
1. 71.6% of the people show their satisfaction toward the quality of drinking water around their living area, 56.5% of the people satisfy the quality of rivers, 87.9% of the people satisfy the status of garbage disposal, 87.8% of the people satisfy the status of recycling, 81.8% of the people satisfy environment cleanliness, and 71.5% of the people satisfy quietness(noise) of living life.
2. 56.1% of the people show their satisfaction toward air quality around their living area. 78.6% of the people said that they understand that poor air quality in autumn and winter is mainly affected by weather such as wind direction, wind speed, rain and ultraviolet rays. 68.7% of the people believe that the "black smoke from diesel vehicles" has improved near home.
3. 69.6% people know about the policy of “green life of all people” from EPA, and amount which 79.8% feel satisfied.
4. 70.6% people show their satisfaction toward the current promotion of environmental protection from EPA, and compared with the previous survey that the rate of dissatisfaction increase with the level of education, this time there is no significant difference. In addition, 59.9% people believe that it is better than the past year.
