The Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan (EPA) responses to environmental problems extended from large-scale human development and overuse of resources. To solve these critical environmental problems, the EPA is the first-line government agency for prevention and solving environmental problems. In response to the current trends, not restricted to any specific disciplines, the EPA adopts various possible measures to promote sustainable development to facilitate effective problem solving for the environment. Hence, the purpose of this project is to raise public expectations towards the government by changing the interaction model between the public and the government through adoption of technologies by the public sector. This gives capacity in responding to all kinds of challenges. Seminars were organized inviting experts from various disciplines on cross-disciplinary insights to introduce diverse viewpoints, inspire colleagues for cross-disciplinary thinking, and stimulate new idea generation of the public sector. This project has completed the organization of a total of 15 seminars and has compiled the results into records of achievements to enable future reference by colleagues and the EPA’s policy promotion. Additionally, on the horizontal communications and international exchanges for soil and groundwater remediation work, assisted in the organization of EPA capability enhancement policy camp to enhance the work execution capability; international exchange assistance work has been completed for foreign language translations, two Thai and two English language pieces and seven files of presentation information to facilitate communications, enhancing the effectiveness of overseas exchanges.
