Under the impact of global climate change, global warming has caused the spread of mosquitoes infection, under the influence of global traffic systems, even without the domestic infecting cases, the virus might still cause the domestic infection widely spread due to the foreign tourists. In recent years, the domestic pandemics of dengue are not only throwing up in the south of the nation but also in New Taipei City and Tau-Yuan City due to the locked-down caused by COVID-19.In order to strengthen the prevention work of dengue pandemic, the Environmental Protection Agency has established the "Nation-wide Dual Action Plan on Dengue Fever (Contains Zika virus) Vector” and adopted the principle of "Eliminate Source as main, Pesticides as support". The dengue fever prevention and control plan is divided into 3 stages namely daily prevention, prevention of spreading, and state of emergency, which is managed by the central government and conducted by the local government.
To ensure the work of prevention of dengue fever, this project completed 17 educational training classes, 5 vector-related conferences, 1 vector seminar, 6 advocacy proposals, and 1 "Dual Action Plan” draft amendment. On the other hand, we collected the dengue fever-related data of local environmental agencies, also coaching the governmental units to report and check both the empty house and empty land. Meanwhile, we collaborated with the experts intensely to provide perfect stagey of dengue prevention.
