In order to mitigate the risk of air pollution’s impact on public health during the period of air quality deterioration, the central government and pollution source agencies carry out contingency operations during periods of poor air quality. In order to grasp the overall situation of contingency response, the Environmental Protection Agency has established a " Air quality deterioration control information management system ", which gradually completes the online reporting process, exchange multiple data, and develops a number of management tools. At this phase, in addition to maintaining and updating the existing system functions, such as: integrating information on poor air quality operations, maintaining and strengthening emergency management information systems; adjusting systems operation and interface design to optimize user experience; integration and connection of air quality monitoring information and emergency database management;3 sessions of system education and training to fully understand the functions and operation procedures of each system. In this way, through system integration, function enhancement and expansion, and visual display, the Environmental Protection Agency can quickly and efficiently grasp and display response results, and improve the efficiency of decision-making.
In addition, in order to strengthen the maintenance and improvement of air quality, the EPA has built a "SIP performance evaluation system" to promote operation information, grasp the status of work execution in real time, and establish a feedback mechanism to improve control efficiency.
