In order to enhance public's correct concept of the use of the use of herbicide and to promote human and mechanical weed removal operations in the environment. This project starts on 29th, June,2022 and ends on 15th, October,2022. During this period, Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau volunteers and community members are aimed to promote the concept of weed management and to disseminate self-governance regulations. Besides, mechanical weeding was applied to assist the guiding of weed removal operations in open spaces. Besides, by means of mechanical weeding, environmentally friendly prevention methods are promoted, and the potential harm to the environment and ecology caused by the use of herbicides can be reduced. During the period of the project, a total of 3 publicity sessions and on-site demonstration of mechanical weeding operations are held. Not only the assistance in executing complaints are related to herbicide spraying once, in total, but also on-site weed sampling and inspection is performed once. In addition, various methods are used to disseminate the Kaohsiung City Herbicide Management Autonomy Ordinance. During the period from 15th,August,2022 to 30th,September,2022, the UFO Radio(FM103.9) was commissioned and promoted through conversational broadcast promotion. It was then broadcast through Fengxin Cable TV Fengxin TV Channel, and "Kaohsiung City Herbicide Management Autonomy Regulations" were disseminated on the TV wall at Sanduo 2nd Road-Guanghua Intersection in Qianzhen District. By doing so, not only the public adoption of environmentally friendly practices for vacant land weed management can be increased, but also be able to reduce the public use of herbicides, making us being able to protect our environment.
