Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are important precursors for the generation of ozone and PM2.5 in the atmosphere, and some VOCs are also Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs), which have a significant impact on public health. The main influencing factor of domestic air quality has changed from fine suspended particulates (PM2.5) in previous years to ozone (O3). Therefore, the Environmental Protection Agency vigorously promotes relevant VOCs control measures, hoping to reduce VOCs emissions from various pollution sources, thereby improving ambient air quality and maintaining public health. The project has completed the background information investigation of 10 factories in each of the electronic component manufacturing process and the metal surface coating process, and collected foreign control methods for the industry, as a reference for the future development of industry control standards.
In the gravure printing industry and the ship painting operation, the VOCs emission status investigation and the research and control recommendations were completed, and the 10 factories were investigated and the volatile organic compound air pollution control and emission standards (draft) were developed. In addition, completed the establishment of VOCs emission coefficients for four industrial processes, including metal surface cleaning, plastic surface coating, metal surface coating and lithography processes.
Assisted in revising and updating the teaching materials for volatile organic compounds-related topics, and completed a publicity paper on the publication of volatile organic compounds regulations training work in the form of popular science, so as to achieve the effect of publicity. In addition, in cooperation with the implementation of the plan, the economic and reduction benefit analysis of 2 industries including gravure printing industry and electronic component manufacturing industry was completed, as well as 6 regulatory briefing sessions and 2 special sessions and 2 experts Consultation meeting.
