The main implementation approaches in this project were surveys and site surveys to assist the Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan, R.O.C. (Taiwan) in gaining an understanding of the current situation of waste output as well as disposal and reuse methods by the agriculture, forestry, fishery, and animal husbandry sectors. In addition to analyzing existing problems and making recommendations for improvements, resource recycling policies were formulated with a focus on the agricultural waste output items of greatest importance. The bamboo industry (including sourcing and processing industries), the fruit and vegetable wholesale market, the poultry farming industry, various meat (including livestock) markets, the aquaculture industry, and other forestry, fishery, and animal husbandry sectors, as well as domestic fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP)-produced scrapped boats (primarily fishing boats), were among the main topics covered. In addition to concentrating on domestic biomass as a raw material for aquaculture and livestock feed, the current state of its utilization was investigated and analyzed. In addition, a follow-up survey was also conducted to evaluate the recycling and reuse of domestic agricultural film, fruit trees pruning, discarded fishing nets, and Styrofoam waste. Finally, three expert consultation meetings and one business review meeting on biomass reuse issues were held and completed with the goal of exchanging information on resource recycling technology and undertakings.
