The purpose of this project is to effectively improve Changhua County's
execution performance in resource recycling, to establish a complete resource
recycling system, by counseling each township and city office in the method of
execution, to draft and pro perly execute various implementation strategies. The
results of the project's implementation are as follows:
1.Carrying out waste reduction, resource recycling and food waste recycling
work: After actual implementation in 202 3 , resource recycling rate reaches
5 4.21 % while food waste recycling rate reaches 03 %. The project also
poses follow up promotion methods, with reference to the characteristics of
each jurisdiction and their current promotion methods, and has put forward
improvement strategies, which will be able to progressively improve results
with r espect to the amount of recycling within their jurisdiction.
2. Inspection of garbage collected and transported on site along the route: in the
process of following the car along the garbage cleaning route, some members
of the cleaning squadrons were found to act unsafely, or did not guide people
to properly sort wa stes. Also, during waste sampling, it was found that 5 54 %
of resources, 2 5 .8 7 % of while food waste recycling rate reaches in the waste.
In addition, the cleaning squadron and the public still needs to continue to
cooperate with the recycling and sorting o perations to reduce the proportion
of recyclables in the garbage.
3.Recycling performance evaluation work: this project supported the
Resource
Circulation Administration ,Ministry of Environment and Changhua county in
the recycling performance evaluation work. Through the collective effort of
the executive units and local people, a good result was achieved in the 202 3 re-
cycling performance evaluation. Also, valuable references of other cities’ re-
cycling methods were compiled and provided to the environmental protection
bureau, township halls or municipal offices, which ser ve as examples for de-
veloping a suitable approach for Changhua.
4. Totally
201 sessions of resource recycling dissemination for the Dajia Mazu
pilgrimage, activities for township hall and Government and campus; associate
with poster design and promotional material make to improve the effect of
publicity.
