The goal of the project is to assist Taiwan Ministry of Environment in promoting international collaboration in the area of environmental protection and to strengthen exchanges between partner countries and Taiwan. The tasks of the project have been categorized into 4 main focal points, research and analyze environmental related information in the international community, organize and implement international activities, design and produce media material to share Taiwan’s environmental accomplishment, and provide administrative support. With regards to research and analysis, the project team collected major recent environmental news in key countries, researched US and Japan’s recent environmental progress, and analyzed crucial environmental topics discussed in international organization, conventions, and accords, such as World Trade Organization, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership. As for international activity implementation, Regarding the preparation of international exchange activities, our team assisted in organizing and participating in seminars from June 7 to 9, 2023, to collect information related to waste management in island countries. The team also accompanied personnel from the Ministry of Environment to Palau to participate in the Pacific Island Countries Environmental Conference from July 29 to August 2, 2023, to assist in making presentations and handling relevant administrative matters.
The high-level event for the 30th anniversary of Taiwan and the United States was completed on August 21, 2023, and the Taiwan-Japan Environmental Conference was completed from July 1 to 4, 2024.
As for promoting Ministry of Environment, designed 5+1 different content for facebook exposure, 2 videos for the high-level event for the 30th anniversary of Taiwan and the United States, 1 introduction video of Ministry of Environment in English, and 300 hard copy of introduction. Assisted Taiwan Ministry of Environment host international guests, provide interpretation service, meeting snacks and gifts.
