This year's project execution is dedicated to meeting the demands of the Ministry of Environment and various local governmental environmental agencies. In accordance with the planned objectives, it is structured into three major operational facets. Within the realm of the 'Geographic Information System for Drinking Water Source Water Quality Protection Zones,' in the expansion and maintenance domain, the update of camping area cartography within the drinking water protection zones has been executed a total of five times. This encompassed interfacing with cadastral maps from the National Land Surveying and Mapping Center to facilitate land inquiries, the addition of notifications for anomalies in the integration of cadastral data from the Dept of Land Administration, M.O.I., refinement of the functionality pertaining to water quality inspection data on the map, augmentation of the capability to inquire whether a section falls within the protection zone, and provision of information regarding whether a piece of land falls within the protection zone, exempting it from inquiry requirements. In sum, seven functions underwent expansion and optimization operations.
The enhancement of the 'Drinking Water Management Information System,' achievements encompass the addition of the 2023 performance evaluation feature for drinking water management operations, the incorporation of a functionality for recording inspections of packaged water source water quality projects, the introduction of markings indicating the need for re-examination of drinking water test results, the establishment of the positioning functionality for tap water inspection points, the development of a system for querying results of emerging pollutants in drinking water, and the modification of water quality test standards during periods of natural disaster response, totaling six outcomes.
In the aspect of conducting seminars for system operation explanations and information security maintenance management, a business workshop and system operation briefing were held on November 1st. Additionally, the update of data in the policy assessment documentation was completed. Third-party website vulnerability scans and system performance testing were conducted to ensure that the system's security and performance align with the requirements of the organizing body. In an overview of this year's project execution, various system functionalities have been optimized in accordance with the business needs of the environmental protection agency, reducing operational impediments and enhancing the efficiency of business execution.
