Energy conservation, carbon reduction, and achieving net-zero carbon emissions have become international trends and consensus. The government of our country has also set a goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, along with the necessary trajectory and action plans to follow.
This plan collaborates with the Taoyuan Environmental Maintenance and Inspection Division to conduct a demonstration operation of an electric recycling pickup truck on the two resource recycling routes: the community dedicated line and the Taole Resource Collection Station. The aim is to identify a suitable recycling route for the electric recycling pickup truck. The operation will take place from June 1, 2023, to November 30, 2023, for a total duration of six months. The project is expected to achieve the following objectives,
Identify suitable resource collection stations and routes for the Taoyuan Environmental Maintenance and Inspection Division to drive the lightweight electric recycling pickup truck, in order to verify the applicability and satisfaction of lightweight electric recycling pickup truck within the Taoyuan District team.
Collect data during the operation period with the support of IoT (Internet of Things) devices to verify the carbon reduction, cost savings on fuel, and maintenance cost savings resulting from the transition from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles.
Explore the feasibility of widespread adoption of lightweight electric recycling pickup truck in the future. This includes evaluating battery leasing options for electric vehicles and the potential adoption of lightweight electric recycling pickup truck by cleanliness teams in various counties and cities.
Utilize vehicle load information provided by the Taoyuan District team to study the relationship between load, temperature, battery temperature, motor temperature, and energy consumption. This data will serve as an additional reference for internal electric vehicle research and development at the China Motor Corporation.
The project hopes to identify the potential for transitioning resource recovery vehicles from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles through the analysis and data support mentioned above. The results of the project will be shared with the public and relevant organizations for reference.
