Since its upgrade to a direct-administered municipality, the population of Taoyuan City has been steadily increasing, leading to a growing demand for dining out. Consequently, there has been a significant increase in the number of catering establishments, with a concentration shift from mixed-use areas to residential zones. This has resulted in the emission of cooking fumes affecting the quality of life for residents and a subsequent rise in complaints related to cooking fume pollution. Through this plan, we aim to strengthen regulation, inspection, promotion, and guidance to reduce the number of complaints related to the catering industry and minimize its impact on the environment.
