The primary achievements of this project in 2023 are summarized as follows:
(1) Continue to enhance system functions
In response to user feedback, a total of 27 functions were adjusted. Three training sessions for the environmental management center were organized.
(2) Ensure normal data integration
The platform has collected data from 20 agencies, including the newly added Public Nuisance Complaint System.
(3) Expand pollution behavior logic analysis
Two sets of waste logic modules and four sets of air pollution logic modules were added, and statistical inference models for the printed circuit boards and food industries were developed.
(4) Provide a diverse range of mobile device versions
An iOS app with functionality consistent with the Android version was developed.
(5) Accelerate the receiption of complaint cases
A new feature was added to allow public nuisance complaint data to be automatically imported into inspection forms, facilitating the swift completion of these forms by inspection personnel.
(6) Enhance existing visualization system functions
Six visualization features were enhanced, including identifying industrial cluster hotspots, mapping the distribution of Grade A waste disposal operators, identifying suspected streamline discharge or buried pipe discharge hotspots, visualizing the case handling status of inspection personnel, ranking penalties for major violation enterprises, and ranking for behavior analysis related to violations.
(7) Analyze the pilot implementation of image surveillance technology in environmental enforcement
In collaboration with the Environmental Management Administration’s resource allocation, this project jointly constructed a monitoring network and installed image recognition monitors in major cities. This project acquired a list of illegal waste disposal hotspots from the Waste Dumping Management System. After value-added processing, a platform for mapping the locations of illegal waste dumping hotspots was established.
(8) Enhance inspection personnel’s system proficiency and data analysis capabilities
Thirteen training sessions were organized for county and city environmental protection bureaus, including Keelung City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Yilan County, Changhua County, and Nantou County.
