Our country is promoting the national green life movement, hoping to promote the
implementation of environmental protection in food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, entertainment, shopping and other aspects. This year, to engage a broader audience in environmental education, workshops have been organized in collaboration with relevant organizations. These workshops are tailored to the characteristics of specific groups such as retirees, homemakers, Indigenous peoples, and new residents, offering lively, relaxed, and engaging environmental education programs. The goal is to help non-working populations
better understand the Ministry of Environment's initiatives, including net-zero green living, food conservation, and circular economy policies, and to integrate these practices into their daily lives. This year, a selection activity was conducted, receiving 20 applications and ultimately selecting 11 partner organizations to carry out the promotion of these courses. A total of 59 courses were conducted, with 1,673 participants attending. To showcase the outcomes of these activities, videos and promotional clips have been produced for future outreach and promotion efforts.
In the domain of local environmental education learning centers, a series of initiatives and activities were conducted to strengthen community capacity. A review meeting on community environmental education work was held, with a total of 218 participants. For the "Community Environmental Investigation and Capacity Building Plan (Community Joint Proposal)," 13 proposals were submitted, of which 9 were selected. Similarly, for the "Environmental Primary School Promotion Plan," 25 proposals were submitted, and 15 were selected. The implementation units for the "Environmental Primary School Promotion Plan"
conducted hands-on experiences, engaging a total of 37 participants. Two community environmental education empowerment training sessions were held, involving 211 participants. Additionally, two sessions of achievement-sharing and next-year plan application briefings were organized, with a total of 183 participants. The team produced 14 community execution achievement videos in 2023 and 11 in 2024. On November 11, 2023, the "2023 Environmental Education Achievement Presentation" was successfully held, featuring 23 supported units and 12 "Green Hackathon" award-winning projects, with a total attendance of 350 participants. On October 19–20, 2024, the "2024 Community Achievement Presentation" was held in conjunction with the Environmental Education Picture Book Carnival, showcasing the achievements of 14 supported community units, attracting 570 attendees. These efforts aim to establish communities as key "environmental education training hubs," fostering the development of a local environmental education industry and playing a vital role in revitalizing the community economy.
