The 2024 General Waste Management Information System Upgrading Project Work Plan has continued to promote the management of general waste reporting in order to enhance the capacity of general waste management. The specific results for this year are as follows:
1. Compiled general waste business declarations and problems reflected by counties and municipalities, provided guidance to localities in making declarations, clarified problems in counties and municipalities, and provided feedback, as well as general waste business management strategies and related countermeasures, to ensure that the direction of local development is in line with national policies.
2. In order to improve the general waste management, we have been conducting a reconciliation between the HWMS and the public landfill system of the two sides, and we plan to assist in confirming the amount of temporary disposal in each region, and ask the local executive authorities to re-examine the data in order to balance the difference in the amount of temporary disposal of the two sides, and after the mandatory reconciliation and balancing of the data filed in October 113, the amount of temporary disposal of the eleven counties and cities in the two systems has been matched, and the reasonableness of the declaration has been improved.
3. In order to help the business units to grasp the general waste disposal situation of the executive agencies, in addition to the establishment of regular reports on the results of the implementation to enhance the administrative efficiency of the business units, the function of reminding the counties and cities of the status of the report, the due date and the pending items has also been added in order to reduce the time of telephone contact.
4. Regularly maintain system information security and, in accordance with various e-operation regulations, provide counselling to local executive agencies to resolve user issues and ensure timely reporting to maintain data quality.
5. Improve the management of food waste reuse, supervise the implementation of high-temperature steaming, and select a list of high-risk operators for reference by the Environmental Protection Bureau to prevent the outbreak of the African swine plague.
6. To organise two general waste education training sessions to promote exchange between central and local units to improve the effectiveness of general waste management.
