During the implementation, this project assisted the Resource Circulation Administration, Ministry of Environment in completing the compilation of the "Action plan for waste management and recycling” of various departments from the first quarter to the third quarter of 2024. For combustible waste, inorganic waste, organic waste and chemical waste, all ministries and committees promoted relevant work according to the schedule and content of the action plan. This project also assisted the Resource Circulation Administration, Ministry of Environment in compiling the results reported by various departments on a quarterly basis, conducting periodic assessments, and asking each department to speed up the processing of works that were behind schedule.
This project had completed the compilation of relevant information such as the types, output, and disposal of domestic industrial waste in the past five years. This project also selected 5 industries (manufacturing from chemical materials and fertilizer (code 18), manufacturing from electronic components (code 26), waste disposal and recycling (code 38), construction engineering (code 41), specialized construction (code 43)) for analysis and estimation the output in the next five years, and assessed the future capacity of clearance and disposal from combustible waste.
This project had completed the collection of information related to the generation, clearance and disposal from the industrial waste, and set up operational processes for information collection. In addition, based on the premise of sustainable development of the industry, this project summarized the current measures to promote the advanced management of industrial waste promoted by various ministries, and developed an independent management system for the producers of industrial waste. This project also planned to introduce innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things into industrial waste management.
In other related cooperation work, this project had completed 3 related consultation meetings. Each meeting invited 2 scholars or experts to attend the meeting. The opinions of the committee members and attending representatives of each meeting were compiled and incorporated into the future reference for the advanced management of industrial waste.
