To achieve Taiwan's net-zero transformation goals and realize the vision of net-zero emissions by 2050, the Ministry of the Environment has proposed the "Net-Zero Green Life Key Strategic Action Plan." This plan aligns with the promotion of a net-zero green lifestyle and includes the following initiatives:
Proposing green office incentives and supporting materials, and creating posters and infographics for advocacy.
Consolidating five key performance case studies for green office initiatives, and creating posters, infographics, and videos for promotion.
Promoting green offices and guiding units to complete green office initiatives.
Organizing physical briefing sessions for green office responses.
Coordinating with government agencies or enterprises for large-scale events or campaigns to promote green offices.
Collecting innovative models or practices of corporate net-zero green life from overseas and developing management strategies suitable for Taiwan.
Rolling adjustments to the green office action plan (draft), standard operating procedures (draft), and guidelines (draft).
Analyzing the ratio and causes of the most and least commonly implemented green office measures.
Analyzing the feasibility of combining eco-label hotels with credit card no-fee promotions as a potential initiative.
Results obtained from this project are summarized as follows:
(1) The incentives and informational materials for promoting green office practices have been developed for two key groups: "businesses" and "the public." Based on these incentives and materials, posters and infographics have been created to support the promotion.
(2) The task involves completing the consolidation of five key performance case studies for green office initiatives and creating five posters and five infographics based on these case studies. Each of these materials will have both a Chinese and an English version.
(3) Completed the filming of a green office promotion video, which will be promoted on the net-zero green life platform.
(4) A total of 4 green office guidance sessions have been successfully held, with 65 participating units. These sessions included guidance for each unit (including operational sites) to complete their green office responses on the Net-Zero Green Life Information Platform.
(5) Green office physical briefing sessions have been held at the Chi-Si Taiwan Conference Center, Chi-Si Taiwan Zhongwenxin Conference Center, and the National Science Council's Cybersecurity and Smart Technology Research and Development Building. These events invited exemplary green office units, including representatives from OO Company, OO Airlines, OO Branch, OO Company, OO Environmental Protection Bureau, and OO Company, to share their methods for promoting green offices, unique practices, and carbon reduction results.
(6) Completed four green office coaching sessions, action plan, and assistance has been provided to guide at least 60 organizations (including government agencies, businesses, schools, and other groups, with at least five from each category) in completing their green office response on the Net-Zero Green Living Information Platform.
(7) Completed 3 green office entity briefing sessions (one each for North, Central and South), and invited representatives of outstanding green office units to share promotion methods, characteristic practices and carbon reduction results.
(8) Attended 3 large-scale theme activities or competitions, incluing 2024 SDG Asia, Semicon Taiwan and Kaohsiung Building Show, and sent personnel to the site to use relevant graphics cards, posters or videos to promote green office.
(9) The status of green office responses is updated on the 1st of each month to track the effectiveness of green office promotion from the previous month.
(10) Completed the collection of foreign innovative models or practices for promoting corporate net-zero green living, and developed management strategies suitable for our country's promotion.
(11) Completed revised green office action plan (draft), standard operating procedures (draft) and guidelines (draft).
(12) Completed research and analysis on the ratio of the most common responses to the least common response measures for green office and their reasons, and compiled them into Q&A.
