The project primarily focuses on promoting the implementation of the "Greenhouse Gas Reduction Action Plan" and the "Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan." Regarding the strategies and implementation outcomes of the "Taichung City Greenhouse Gas Reduction Action Plan (Phase II)," performance management and evaluation were conducted. As of 2023, the plan includes a total of 118 implementation projects, with 107 projects achieving their annual performance targets, resulting in an overall implementation rate exceeding 90%. Additionally, the "2023 Taichung City Greenhouse Gas Reduction Action Plan Outcome Report" has been completed and was submitted for discussion at the Climate Change Promotion and Response Meeting on July 15, 2024, after which it was made publicly available.In terms of the "Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan," efforts included organizing workshops, expert consultation meetings, climate change-related conferences, and the Climate Change Promotion and Response Meeting. For this phase, Taichung City identified key adaptation areas, which include: critical infrastructure (led by the Construction Bureau), water resources (led by the Water Resources Bureau), land use (led by the Construction Bureau), energy supply and industries (led by the Economic Development Bureau), agricultural production and biodiversity (led by the Agriculture Bureau), coastal and marine areas (led by the Agriculture Bureau), and public health (led by the Health Bureau). Capacity building was also emphasized (led by the Sustainable and Low-Carbon Office). A total of 55 action plans have been developed, and the "Taichung City Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan" was compiled. This plan aims to ensure that Taichung City possesses adequate resilience and adaptive capacity to effectively address the challenges of climate change.
