This project was scheduled from December 28th, 2001 to December 27th, 2002. According to the contract, this project has accomplished tasks such as data collection and establishment, structure planning of the annual report, expansion of system function, model simulation and application.
Regarding data collection and establishment, the groundwater monitoring data were collected and established for the regional groundwater monitoringplan project carried out in year 2001 and for thirteen groundwater monitoring projects of different sites located in different cities or counties.
As for the structure planning of the annual report, the report content was reviewed and planned. Respective draft report was completed for year 2000 and year 2001 accordingly.
On the expansion of system function, the data analysis function was reviewed, the structure of each function module was enhanced and additional functions such as figure/table and simple model simulation were developed.
With regard to the model simulation, AT123D was selected as the base model for simple model simulation function of the system. It is to be noted that if the parameters input to the model were not collected by site testing, the simulation results could be irrelevant. Under such circumstances, intepretaion of the results should be more cautious. Moreover, the simulation results would not be appropriate to be annouced to the public but should only serve as a reference information internally.
