The aggressive implementation of the “Taiwan Refuse Incineration Plant Construction Project” has seen to the construction of 19 refuse incineration plants in the country. These plants had been turned over to the respective local governments for perennial management and use. In order to safeguard the usage expiration and operation quality (pollution control function) upgrade of these plants, the fulfillment of their installation purposes and functions, the enhancement of the local garbage disposal system, the improvement of the garbage disposal efficiency, and the efficiency of refuse incineration plant operations, the government implemented “The Plan of investigation the 2003 operation and maintenance situation of the refuse incineration plant in Taiwan area.” The implementation and execution of the project is expected to upgrade the operating efficiency of operational refuse incineration plants, enhance the technology exchange and learning between these plants, foster inter-plant exchange and assistance in the matter of common parts, as well as establish the final disposal evaluation program for operational refuse incineration plants.
