The Environmental Information System Data Exchange and Supply Operation Project consists 4 major tasks, namely “the EPA environmental information system integration planning and building operation”, “current year (2003) environmental information system integration planning and building operation”, “the Environmental Information Resource management system maintenance and building operation”, “the specifications writing with technology transfer and manpower supply operation”. The project’s key achievements are summarized below:

The emission inventory.
The motorcycle inspection data system.
The soil and groundwater remediation website information.
The 319 acres of soil test system.
The soil quality information management system.
The groundwater quality monitoring and pollution control information system.
The Kaopin River basin remediation management system.
The water pollution sources control system (revision).
The industrial waste disposal plan system.
The industrial waste management records system.
The toxicity information system.
The environmental information integration operation has continued the integration of new subjects and the management of the existing ones to maintain the important fundamental property built so far. Such is a long term operation that needs a stable mechanism for its maintenance and growth. Upon the achievement of the information integration to certain degree, further strategic planning and follow-up operation are necessary to lead the information into our daily life for its utmost utilization. Therefore, it is suggested that GIS or environmental modeling tool can be further integrated into the application system.
