The auditing of air pollution fee collected from gasoline/diesel during Jan. to Nov. 2007 was completed and the results were quite satisfied. Respectively, the total quantities of gasoline and diesel are 9.21 millions and 4.38 million kiloliters. The air pollution fees attributed to gasoline and diesel are NT$ 1.30 billion and NT$ 569 million. 229 gasoline random samples and 203 diesel random samples, taken from fuel storages and gas stations, were analyzed. Thirty samples of illegal fuels were found in the scheme. This project has applied a chromatographic band for investigated and analyzed possible source of illegal fuels. Unqualified diesel oil is mostly fishing boat uses with the oil stream.
In this year, the project covered the gasoline and diesel’s prices of different countries, regulation, automobile’s fuel, bio-resource regulation trend, and the information of automobile’s exhaust. Furthermore, the project finished investigation of the amount of fuel’s consumption and collect data from air quality monitoring stations of Traffic area, result demonstration reduces diesel sulfur content is helpful to improve air quality.
This project in accordance with a procedure of CONCAWE to calculate two refineries sulfur mass balance in Taiwan. Unfortunately, because of the information from refineries is incomplete, we need more information to let the job perfect.
A “gasoline and diesel quality improvement have been hold. Many people join these workshops include industrial, expertise, professor etc. It’s help to discuss many subjects about gasoline and diesel and to give chance to improve the ability of Implementing of Agency.
