The project is to assist EPA in its replacement examination for the water pollution source preventing and controlling permission. Since May 1, 2007, this project has applied to 10 counties and cities for the permission replacement examination. According to the contact, there are 4,200 businesses will be served to replace permission paper. Besides the replacement process explanation meeting focused these 10 counties and cities, there are 143 consulting meetings had achieved before August 1, 2007. At the same time, there are 2,445 businesses had joined these consulting meetings and in consultation with our working group. Because of the livestock breeding consulting had been canceled in July, 2007, so that we have consulted additional industry since Oct. 2007. There are 18 additional consulting meeting had been achieved and there are 206 additional industry had obtained.
Moreover, in connection with businesses who not join consulting meeting, will be proceed individual consulting. In addition, there are 194 businesses had achieved in consultation with our working group.
In the permission replacement examination aspect, there are 477 businesses obtained permission paper among 653 businesses that submit the application paper, and there are 643 businesses had accepted site examinations.
This project also conducts paper examinations and site examinations for general engineering projects and improvement projects. In addition, this project has provided three phone-lines for consulting and has answered questions from business owners in license agents since Oct., 2007.
