A. Project purpose
The purpose of this project is to provide inventory, assessment and monitoring related works for “air quality purification area”（hereinafter called the “Aquapu Area”） in order to improve our air quality as well as to provide quality living space.
B. Project Contents、Methods and Results
This project includes following items：
1. Installation of Aquapu Area and related works ─ These include：
（1）on site inventory, monitoring and assessment work for newly proposed, approved and completed Aquapu Areas.
（2）revision of 「Guidelines for Proposal to install Aquapu Area」.
（3）proposed improvement method for 2 counties（cities）or 2 Aquapu Areas which have less ideal evaluation results.
（4）to promote Executive Yuan’s 「Thousand-kilometer bicycle trail & ten-thousand-kilometer hiking trail」project and drafting 「Bicycle installation alternatives and promotional guidelines」.
2. Plant nursery project and related works ─
(1) revising of 「Guidelines for plant nursery aid application」.
(2) existing public nursery stocking inventory and internet information update.
3. Update internet informations related to Aquapu Area, bicycle trail and plant nursery. Therefore, EPA and related units of county/city governments can utilize these information. These informations also include different guidelines, aid procedures, application forms and inquiry offices of different government units. Extra training session has been held to inform all related personnel.
4. Held activities to celebrate ten years of Aquapu Areas and
using internet to ask public to vote on excellent Aquapu Area.
Several activities have also been held to celebrate EPA anniversary. These includes visitation of Aquapu sites, bicycle and hiking trail promoting meeting（for county/city staffs）, application procedure explanation meetings（3 meetings）, advertising and promotional meeting, 「Plant a tree, leave your hearts/ roots in Taiwan」activity.
5. During EPA SIP process（Twice a year）, to provide all needed administrative assistance to all evaluators in order for them to complete their evaluation work. At the end of last year, a round table conference has been held to review the evaluation results.
6. To provide administrative assistance to EPA to conduct 3-year air quality improvement project for 「Eastern Taiwan Air Quality Zone」. These include：
(1) Inviting and arranging evaluators for on site visitation.
(2) Calling for discussion meeting.
(3) Drafting improvement strategies and objectives.
(4) Collecting similar projects and related information.
(5) Drafting aid program and etc.
