Main object of this project is to provide guidance and assistance to
city and county government in central Taiwan in developing river
environment KPI (key performance indicator), implementation strategy
and measures, so as to truly control pollution sources’ distribution for
all rivers located in cities and counties in central Taiwan and as well
as to know the current water quality of important rivers. Furthermore,
in order to carry out river water quality improving works, this will
also serve as a basis for making water pollution control plans for all
rivers in all cities and counties.
After carrying out this project, the results are summarized as the
followings: (1) The establishment of river pollution control strategies
and measures for all rivers in 7 cities and counties in central Taiwan;
(2) The handling of 50 meetings and seminars regarding river basin; (3)
Testing and inspection on influent’s water quality and discharge
capacity of important rivers –Jhuoshuei River, New-Huwei River,
Beigang River, and first need to renovate rivers, including
Old-Jhuoshuei River and Yangzuchuo River; (4) The completion of
river water quality’s improving projects in all cities and counties; (5)
The completion of river ecological evaluation for Old-Jhuoshuei River
and submission of the ecological benefic analytical report; (6) The
organization of 2008 Green National Income from 3rd type river water
pollution for all cities and counties, all industries, and 40 important
rivers; (7) Assisting in handling provisional issues including the
planning and driving of the sustainable Eco-farm project, and also 3
providing assistance in handling the public plead issue – the orange
waste water pollution at the north riverbank area of Dadu River.
