環境地理圖資儲存系統暨環資部共構機房先期建置

中文摘要 本專案主要目的在於規劃設計未來環資部將所屬單位設備共構於機房時,所需資訊基礎的建置,利用環境地理圖資儲存系統及環境保護署其他服務系統,進行系統虛擬化作業與異地備援暨資料備份架構建置,讓所屬單位使用共用機房資源,達成共構資源分享,節能減碳的目的,並建立操作及維運標準作業程序。 要達成上述目的,分別購置兩套儲存設備置於台北與台中,利用儲存設備的抄寫機制,進行資料同步,將署內約40個系統移至該機制,透過專線將資料同步到異地儲存,以利緊急狀況時,可快速地由異地啟動系統,提供服務,達到便民的措施。在備份資料的應用方面,則導入虛擬磁帶櫃設備,將大量硬碟空間虛擬成磁帶讀寫方式,透過備份軟體的管理,直接由虛擬磁帶櫃將資料寫至磁帶機,也就是所謂的D2D2T備份架構。導入後,完整備份資料的時間由原先將近61小時縮短至19小時,減少三分之二備份時間。 在系統虛擬化建置方面,將原本26部實體主機,分佈在7部虛擬化的作業主機上,節省了19部主機所需的電力、空間及設備等費用。虛擬化工具是一套可執行多個作業系統的軟體,利用軟體的資源分配管理,將建置的7部虛擬化主機資源連結起來,透過動態配置達到資源平均分配。在異常況時,還可機動調整虛擬機所在的實體機位置,提升系統可用度。除了節省能源及購機費用外,亦可達到節省安裝作業系統的人力及提高管理的時效性與作業彈性。 異地備援機房平時無人進駐,規劃建置本案時,亦導入遠端無人機房管理工具,除了可遠端操作系統,尚可檢視燈號及對設備重開機,讓備援機房的操作人力需求降至最低,這樣便可收雙機房之效益,且無須付出雙機房之維運人力成本。

Environmental geographic data storage system and Data Center Consolidation Implementation for Future Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Phase I

英文摘要 The purpose of this project is to plan and set up information infrastructure required for co-construction of facilities by the Ministry of Environment and Resources and its subordinate units. Also, by virtual remote offsite data backup and data storage through the geographic information systems and other service systems employed by the Environmental Protection Administration Executive Yuan (R.O.C.), the subordinate units may share the facilities and resources co-constructed, promote energy conservation and carbon reduction, and set up standard operating procedures. To reach this end, two sets of storage facilities were purchased and allocated in Taipei and Taichung for data synchronization through the copying mechanism of the storage facilities. About 40 systems in use at the EPA are transferred to the mechanism to remote backup the synchronized data through the router leased line so as to activate the remote-controlled initiation system in case of emergency and provide convenient services to all. In terms of backup data applications, the virtual tape library appliances are introduced to convert large hard disc spaces into tape read and write. And through backup software management, the data is directly written into the tape drive by the virtual tape library appliances (i.e. D2D2T backup framework). The time for complete backup is then reduced by two thirds from 61 to 19 hours. With regard to system virtualization, the power, space, and equipment costs of the 19 machines are cut down by distributing the 26 physical machines on the 7 virtual machines. The virtualization tool is a piece of software capable of executing multiple operating systems whereby resources on the 7 virtual machines are integrated and equally distributed by dynamic assignment and through software resource distribution and management. Under abnormal circumstances, the location of the physical machine where the virtual machines are located can be adjusted where needed to enhance the system usability. Besides energy conservation and lowered machine costs, less manpower is needed to install operating systems to ensure management timeliness and operational flexibility. As the remote offsite data backup facilities are unmanned, unmanned remote facilities management tools were also introduced during the project planning and setup. Other than the remote operating systems, the light signals and machine restart were also inspected to minimize the manpower requirement for the offsite data backup facilities in order to yield the benefits of dual facilities without having to pay for extra repair and manpower costs.
